Unique Antique Old Mine Cut DIAMOND Carre SAPPHIRE Halo Ring Daisy Flower Cluster 14k Gold Edwardian

ABOUT:
This one is imperfect (aren't we all? : ) But I bought it because in the 10+ years I've been doing this, I've never seen another one like it.

The most uncommon halo ring! With seven old mine cut diamonds in a flower pattern, each of the six outside "petals" are surrounded by a halo of small blue carre cut sapphires. A handful of little sapphires are missing but they are very small and they still show a wonderful contrast of blue outlining the sparkle of each of the bezel set old mine cuts.

I've never seen carre cuts this small before! Creating such a pretty accent to the diamonds.

No hallmarks remain, tests at 14k gold.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 7 1/2. It weighs 3.2 grams.
12.4mm north south. The largest center diamond is about 3.2mm, the smaller ones a little over 2mm each.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
It looks like around 7 of the little carre cut sapphires are missing leaving a few tiny gaps that just appear as a dark area amidst the already dark blue halo so it's not super glaring but you can seek it out. What my eyes actually see more are the areas where the bezel around the sapphires has worn and spread into the channel setting a bit, sometimes covering over the sapphires a bit and interrupting the dark halo a tiny bit. There is one spot to the gold underside of the ring face that was a bit crunched in but this is not seen while wearing unless viewed from the side at eye level. Some wear to the sapphires, little nicks and nibbles. Typical antique diamonds with some natural inclusions giving them some faint frosty spots but they are small so it is not glaring. Lovely color and sparkle to this unique setting, so intricately made back in the day with the tiny channel set sapphires.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

Please feel free watch @mouseshouseantiques on Instagram for inventory drops, sneak peaks and previews! And check out my website www.MousesHouseAntiques.com as I can add more pics there so you can get extra looks : )

All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).

Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
