NOTE that the "divot" to the band on the side of the shank is Not damage - it is the French hallmark strike for platinum so the piece is not damaged but intentionally marked on the vertical edge. : )
Wonderful old cut diamond full eternity band in platinum. This French antique piece is set with about 1.6 carat old mine and old European cut diamonds. Sturdy hand feel, nice sparkle all around. These are always super popular.
The stones are a mix of old cuts all with the faceting of course more freeform and different from the modern machine cut single cuts we see today.
The perfect stacker, and also a beautiful worn alone. This one has a nice width to it compared to some of the daintier ones we see. I have a similar one that I love to wear with a yellow gold band for contrast and sparkle.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size: 6 1/4
4.4mm north south by 2.5mm deep give or take.
Weight: a sturdy 7 grams.
Each of the 20 diamonds are about 2.7mm give or take for a total carat weight of around 1.6 carat. This is an estimate as I would not remove the stone from the setting for exact measurements and the exact depth is not measurable in the setting.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Typical antique diamonds, several of them are quite frosty throughout, the others with just a frosty spot here or there. No really big or glaring dark carbon but the frostiness to some of them is eye visible. One of them appears a lighter frost in color because it has loss to the underside of the stone leaving an unpolished area that reflects around - I showed this front and center in the cover photo. A few with warm hues but overall well matching. Still a nice sparkle and sturdy shank. About six of the stones have a frosty flake of loss to one top edge or corner. They all still appear complete and fill the setting but we often see this with eternities having part of the ring come into contact with surfaces on the palm side of the hand frequently. It was priced accordingly with these things in mind as I sold my last similar ones for more with less inclusions and wear. None of the stones move although I always recommend gentler wear on antique pieces with so many stones set with little bead prongs, and with eternities again margin a lot of contact, it's something to keep an eye on. No replacement stones. A few small nicks to the vertical edges and some deeper scratches / tool marks in one spot to the left of the hallmarks.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
